DVF - MSHEIREB
The world renowned fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg owns an apartment at the Culture Pass Club Complex in the heart of Doha, Qatar Msheireb Downtown. An assignment was given to design a custom made furniture piece whether a sofa or a bed frame for DVF's personal apartment.

I decided to go with a bed frame that was inspired by her personal apartment in the heart of New York City (image below). Where she has a glass house with oversized isosceles triangles which inspired the ones in the above designed bed frame.

After doing much research about DVF, her likes and dislikes, I was able to design a multi-functional bed frame. Since the room was pretty tight. It was important to design a bed frame with multiple functions. It was designed around the beautiful Msheireb window mashrabiya. With some book shelves on the side for a cozy reading corner. As well as, some bedside shelves next to the bed for personal belongings and a warm lamp.

The design was submitted along side a set of construction documents on how to execute the bed frame correctly. (attached below)
Months after being submitted, I received an email about my design being chosen by DVF as inspiration for her personal apartment in Msheireb! It was a surreal feeling of having my design be apart of DVF's apartment in my hometown.
